What do you want?
Animation is a fantastic communication tool. It’s attractive, it easily engages viewers and it appeals to people of all ages. It’s also incredibly versatile, which is how I’ve ended up with such a wide range of clients – health charities, theatre groups, heritage sites, online businesses, bands, and even a belly dancer. If you have something you want to communicate, it is worth considering animation.
What do I do?
I’m flexible in my approach to animation production; it all depends on what you need. If you already have a script and storyboard, I can go from there. If you need everything from concept art to voiceover and soundtrack, I can do that as well.
I enjoy not really having a house style – I prefer to see what the project requires first, so I can make sure the visuals are completely appropriate for the message. That could mean me cutting pictures out of old magazines all day (which would be nice,) or working directly in flash (which is also nice.)
I’ve been a freelance animator in Bristol since 2011, when I finished my Animation MA at UWE. If you know all the door codes, you can find me working in my little studio in Hamilton House, but it’s best just to give me a ring. I work mainly in Flash, After Effects, and I’ve dabbled in stopmotion as well. I’m at my happiest when I’m smashing different artistic techniques together and seeing what happens.
If you’re curious about using animation then please get in touch, I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
